Official information on the new 2012 Honda CR-V has been made available, despite the announcement of a possible delay in delivery.

Images have appeared on the marque's official website, confirming that much of what was seen in the concept car will be carried over into production.

Exterior changes made for production appear to include slightly smaller wheels and the replacement of the blacked-out headlights with regular units.

Details regarding the interior of the Honda CR-V still remain confidential - however the new images reveal more space, along with a larger high-mounted display and a deep-set chrome-ringed instrument cluster.

The power for the fourth-generation Honda CR-V is said to be provided by "a more fuel-efficient" engine, and it has been developed to include a lower height and load floor.

A new six-speed automatic transmission is predicted to replace the current five-speed model.

The news comes after the Honda car manufacturer announced it was currently unable to maintain parts production due to the increasing floods in Thailand - and this may "slightly" delay the launch of the Honda CR-V model.

The 2012 Honda CR-V is set to make its global debut at this month's Los Angeles Auto Show, and is expected on Australian shores in the second half of the year.
