The Honda Accord Euro hit the Australian market after making its official debut at the Geneva Auto Show last March. It was given significant changes on the styling front along with improved fuel economy figures. Noise, vibration, hardness (NVH) levels were likewise improved with the use of high density foam under the dashboard and hood, increased glass thickness of the rear windscreen and extra sound-deadening under-floor insulation.
From the outside of the Honda Accord Euro, visual changes including clear headlight indicators and subtle modifications to the grille, fog light housings, air intakes, tail lights, front and rear bumpers. The interior changes are equally subtle with Honda opting to use door linings, new seat materials and a few revised accents and surfaces. Also included in the upgrades is the 2.4-litre inline-4 DOHC petrol engine with VVT and Lift. This high-revving powerplant cranks out 148 kW of power at 7000 rpm and peak torque of 234 Nm at 4400 rpm. Depending on the model, the engine can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Honda engineers also gave a premium on safety and equipped the Honda Accord Euro with dual-stage front airbags, driver and front passenger side airbags, full length curtain airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, and antilock brakes. Overall, the Honda Accord Euro offers superb quality, a more sporty appeal, and precise handling. Moreover, you can choose from new, used and demo Honda Accord cars at Peter Warren Honda showroom in Warwick Farm, Sydney. If you live in the further South West of Sydney, you can also test drive the Honda Accord Euro at Macarthur Honda dealership in Narellan.
