Small is beautiful Small it might be, but the Honda Jazz nevertheless makes a big impression, thanks in part to its thoroughly modern design. And its size is one of its key assets, making it a valued automotive friend in busy urban situations, particularly when it comes to navigating traffic and slotting into confined parking spaces. Regardless, the car boasts a practical five-door body, which means that getting in and out is always straightforward, as is gaining access to the boot.

Enticing colours Select a paint finish that best matches your personality. There are some fine choices, including Platinum White, Modern Steel and Lunar Silver. If you prefer an extra splash of colour, Rally Red, Phoenix Orange or Brilliant Sporty Blue are all well worth considering.

Fancy an upgrade? The entry-level VTi is a great place to start but there’s even more to enjoy when you choose a higher grade Jazz. For instance, next-level trims add 16-inch alloy wheels, side skirt fixtures and a tailgate spoiler for added pizzaz on the road.

Luminous LEDs LED lights offer greater illumination and last longer than their halogen equivalents. The Honda Jazz is fitted with LED taillights as standard, ensuring the car is easily visible to trailing vehicles. Also included are LED indicators, which feature as part of the electrically adjustable door mirrors.

Interior The Jazz may be compact on the outside, but its interior provides all the space and flexibility you need. Certainly, there’s plenty of room to comfortably convey two full-size adults – or a trio of younger travellers – in its rear compartment. Six-footers will find no problem with headroom, whether seated in the front or the back, thanks to the high roofline, and the driver can quickly get comfy with features that include a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, which comes as standard.

Fabulous flexibility Honda’s much-admired Magic Seats system provides the Jazz with a versatile cabin. The rear positions can be flipped-up and down, much like cinema seats – thus providing a quick and easy way to create extra room for awkwardly sized cargo.

Music to your ears A four-speaker sound system is installed as standard. This comes with an AM/FM radio, AUX and USB ports, and Bluetooth connectivity. The latter not only allows you to stream audio content, it also enables you to enjoy hands-free telephone communication. Meanwhile, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay integration makes accessing compatible smartphone apps via the seven-inch touchscreen simple.

Clearly visible As well as air-conditioning, the Jazz features a handy rear-window demister. With one push of a button, the rear windscreen is warmed by a current of electricity, which soon has the glass free from condensation and ready to provide perfect visibility.

Five-star safety The Jazz has been awarded ANCAP’s maximum five-star rating, meaning you can take to the road with confidence every time. Plenty of passive safety features and driver aids are incorporated as standard, each designed to offer you and your fellow travellers optimal protection. If you require even greater peace of mind, it’s worth considering an upgrade to the VTi-S trim, which adds front fog lamps that provide increased visibility during thick mist or heavy rainfall.

Passive protection The vehicle comes with numerous passive safety features designed to protect everyone on board. These include six airbags to minimise injury should an accident occur, and tamper-proof rear door locks that will ensure the little ones’ curiosity doesn’t result in danger.

Careful cruising Give yourself one less thing to think about by inputting your desired speed limit before setting off on a journey. It’s just what Cruise Control was invented for. Once on your way, you’re much less likely to drive too fast and present a danger to yourself, your fellow passengers and other road users.

Parking made easy The Honda Jazz is fitted with a reversing camera that delivers multiple angles to the dashboard display screen. You no longer need to make an educated guess when backing the car up – simply follow the guide marks and you’ll be parked in no time at all and without any fuss.
